NonprofitGO wins a $500 check from DeVaughn James Injury Lawyers and KAKE TV to help nonprofit organizations achieve sustainability.
(KAKE) - What started as a nonprofit to help other nonprofits in the Wichita area, has turned into a resource to help organizations across the region thrive.
“I love it when I get a phone call and it’s an organization I’m not familiar with and they explain to me who they are and what they’re doing and I’m always amazed at what’s going on in the nonprofit community,” said founder, Vickie Kline.
Vickie Klein started NonprofitGO as an affordable resource to help mentor nonprofits and guide them to become sustainable on their own.
“There are so many things that organizations should be doing that they just don’t have the resources to do it. So that’s where we come in,” said Klein.
From consulting, grant writing, graphic design, and finding funding, NonprofitGO is there for every step.
“We love to see that cash hit the bank. That’s the best thing ever, to know that we’re helping organizations become sustainable,” said Klein.
As a nonprofit themselves, they are committed to seeing the work of other organizations shine and in turn, help the community around them.
“I want Wichita to have a thriving nonprofit community because that supports so many other businesses and things that are happening in the city that people never know about,” said Klein.
KAKE News and DeVaughn James are honored to present NonprofitGO with a $500 check as this week’s, “Wins for Kansas” recipient.
“Thank you so much KAKE and DeVaughn James. Nonprofit go will be using this money to help nonprofit organization sin the Wichita community fulfill their dreams and their mission,” said Klein.
